On wednesday July 30th, always at 9:00pm, we had here an exclusive interview
- 20 minutes , no cuts - with
, the filmmaker
elected to shoot the Movie CINEMA OF TEARS,
which represented the Latin Cinema in worldwide cellebration of first century
of Cinema.
On wednesday August 6th 97 we had a trailer from ANAHY
DE LAS MISSIONES, a movie by Sérgio Silva, which is ready to go,
starring Dira Paes, Marcos Palmeira and Paulo José.
On wednesday August 13th 1997, we have watched a series of small movieclips
from awarded filmography of
Nélson
Pereira dos Santos, as an introduction to a CHAT we are arranging for
this very month.
This August 20th, another exclusive-to-this-project interview with the
filmmaker and President the Cinema Labourers' Union (STIC), Leilany Fernandes
Leite. She will talk about the first feature she is going to direct,
MARIA MOURA, inspired in a novel by Raquel
de Queiroz.

Video quality is more or less the same around the world. A stained image,
blurred, a failing transmission, but the EXPERIENCE is irreversible. You

matter of fact, the STREAM technology will lead us from Television/Cinema
Age to Digital Communications Age.
If you try to watch the programmes late at night and if you have a good 28.8
kbps modem, you will have an easy reception. Even if your modem is
a a 14.4Kbps, you can also watch the programmes, with less resolution
and a few sound interruptions along the transmission, but what really
matters is that with this tool you will no longer need to download a
clip for hours to play it afterwards. This software plays for
you the part of the information it has already got from network, while it
continues to download simultaneously more information at your modem's
speed.

reach more than 200 radios and a few TVs, listed by subject and
by region of the Planet.
We are still staggering like babies learning to walk, but in a while,

Really, it's not ficction anymore.

RealVideo is the system
used by RealPlayer, a product made by Progressive Networks Inc./EUA
which makes the plug-in available FOR FREE for the cybernauts with the
aim of creating a target, an audience to RealVideo Programmes, and
charges Internet Providers and Contents producers who maintains the
TV-NET's and
LIVE RADIOS all over the world.
There are other "stream" technologies being tested over the world, such like
VDONet and the Microsoft NetShow. We from site CINEMABRASIL have preferred
to make use of RealPlayer because, besides RealAudio is the pioneer in this
technology (in 1995, Progressive Networks launched RealAudio and in February
97, RealVideo), this software turned out to be more internationally accepted
(Warner Bros, Metro Goldwin Meyer, ABC TV network, FreeSpeech TV, LCI TV
in France, Chile Vision TV, etc.), and it is more popular and accessibe.
